Admission: Undergraduate and Graduate Students
Undergraduate Admission:
First time students.
If you have never attended Southeast Missouri State University before
and have less than 24 credit hours that will transfer, you're considered a new
freshman student.

Complete the online
application form with one-time, nonrefundable $25 fee.

Submit ACT/SAT scores. (If you're 21 years
of age or older, you may use an ASSET score.)

Request official transcripts be sent from your high
school and any other colleges or universities you have attended be sent to
the Southeast Admissions
Office.
- Attend First Step (new student orientation).
If you are taking a combination of online and face-to-face (on-campus)
courses, you'll attend First Step at the Cape Girardeau campus. If you
are pursuing an online degree program, an online alternative
will be provided.

Transfer Students. If you have completed 24 or more credit hours to transfer to Southeast
with a GPA of 2.0 or better, you're considered a regular transfer student.

application form with one-time, nonrefundable $25 fee.

Request official transcripts be sent by all colleges
and universities you have attended to Southeast Admissions
Office.

When you are notified of acceptance, an academic
advisor will be assigned to you. You must contact your academic
advisor before registering for classes.

Graduate Admission:
Degree Seeking Student.
If you've completed a Baccalaureate degree with a 2.5 GPA or better and
have met the requirements for the specific graduate degree program, here's the steps
to apply to graduate school at Southeast.

Complete the
online
application form with one-time, nonrefundable $25 fee ($100 fee for
international student applicants).

Request official college transcripts be sent to
Southeast Graduate Office.

Submit standardized test score (if applicable).

Letters of Recommendation (if applicable).

Apply for financial aid (if applicable).

Any other
processes required by specific
graduate degree program.
Non-Degree Seeking Graduate Student.
If you do not want to pursue a graduate degree at Southeast and are
eligible to take graduate courses, complete the
Non-Degree Seeking Form.
