Degree:
Bachelor of General
Studies (BGS). The
major in General Studies allows students to maximize prior credits of
applying them towards the completion of a general bachelor degree. The
major itself is largely comprised of electives of choice, in addition to the
general graduation requirements necessary for all students. The major
is best suited for students looking to maximize previous credits, those
needing to compliment their work experience with a degree or those seeking a

Bachelor of Science in
Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS).
Choosing IDS means creating an individualized cross-disciplinary major that
can be tailored to your individual career and educational goals. Students
select 2-4 approved areas of emphasis as a part of their
personal IDS plan
of study. This customized degree must be declared via approved plan of
study prior to the completion of 75 credit hours. For more information

Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration (BSBA) in Organizational Administration. A major in
organizational administration prepares you for a wide variety of
professional opportunities in management. Managers are needed in all areas
of business, whether it is the retail industry, finance and banking
industry, manufacturing industry, or the health industry. The BSBA
online option in Organizational Administration holds the same AACSB

Completion:
Bachelor of Science
in Industrial Technology (IT) - option in Technology Management. The technology
management option is specifically designed for students who have earned accredited
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees in technically-oriented programs and
who desire to complete a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology.
This option is also available to students with a recognized national

in Nursing. The RN to BSN
Completion Track is designed specifically for licensed registered nurses
(RNs), recognizing them for prior knowledge and experience through advanced

Certificate Programs:
Alternative Certification.
Southeast's Alternative Certification
Program assists prospective teachers who have a baccalaureate degree from an
accredited college or university in the subject area to be taught or a
closely related field, obtain certification to teach in a school district in
the state of Missouri. Southeast's Alternative Certification Program can
assist in acquiring either the two year
Provisional Certificate or the one-year Temporary Certificate,
both of which do lead to the new teacher obtaining Missouri's entry level
professional teaching certificate, the Initial Professional Certificate.

English for Speakers of Other Languages
(ESOL) Certification. State Requirements for the ESOL
Certification include 21 hours of coursework in the areas of Theories of
Second/Foreign Language Learning, Methods/Techniques of TESOL,
Materials/Assessment of TESOL, Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Practicum in
TESOL, and an elective related to the field. A teacher must also hold a
valid teaching certificate in Missouri and show coursework in Teaching
Reading in the Content Areas and Psychology of the Exceptional Child.
Previous experience learning another language is desirable.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- General Management option. We believe our AACSB Accredited MBA

Master of
Arts (MA) in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
The MA TESOL degree is designed to train professionals to teach people who
are learning to speak English as another language. Graduates work with
children in pre-school through high school, in adult education programs with
refugees and immigrants, or in college and university programs. The
workplace may be within the United States or overseas. The program
emphasizes the practical application of theory to the classroom. Students
design a program of language instruction for their own particular setting
and learn to revise, adapt and assess the program as they progress in their
studies.
