What is Southeast Online?

Southeast Online Programs are those courses and degrees which can be completed online through Southeast Missouri State University.  Instruction, assignments, class discussions - all facets of a high quality class - are part of our online classes.

Large selection of courses.  Southeast Online is among the top three Missouri universities in the number of Internet courses offered.*

Same instructors you'd find in the face-to-face classroom.  Unlike many institution's offering online courses, Southeast offers training and technical support to its faculty with proven knowledge and expertise in their field. The same instructors that teach on-campus, teach online. 

Limited Class Size.  Like its face-to-face classes, Southeast limits the size of online classes so students get the attention they need and deserve.

Variety of Degree Programs Offered Online:

Bachelor's of General Studies (BGS) online.  The BGS is perfect for students wishing to build their own areas of emphasis rather than a traditional major or would like to change their emphasis without taking a lot of additional coursework.

Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration in Organizational Administration online. A major in organizational administration prepares you for a wide variety of professional opportunities in management.  Managers are needed in all areas of business, whether it is the retail industry, finance and banking industry, manufacturing industry or the health industry.

Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies online. A major in Interdisciplinary Studies allows proactive students the opportunity to tailor a degree towards specific career goals that may require background from multiple academic fields.  Declaring the major requires completing an initial plan of study that is reviewed and accepted by faculty from each academic field to be included within the plan.

Master's of Business Administration (MBA) - General Management option online.  We believe that our AACSB Accredited MBA program is set apart from other programs by offering our students quick response in all correspondence, by paying special attention to their personal needs, and by giving all students the chance to be actively involved through our small class sizes.  You can earn your MBA in general management from Southeast Missouri State University without ever setting foot on campus.

Additional Degree Completion Programs Offered Online:

Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (IT) - Technology Option Degree Completion.  The technology option is specifically designed for students who have earned accredited Associate of Applied Science degrees in technically-oriented programs and desire to complete a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology.  This option is also available to students with a recognized national certification or exam score and three years of related work experience.

RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing Completion (Starting Fall 2008).  The RN to BSN Completion Track is designed specifically for licensed registered nurses (RNs), recognizing them for prior knowledge and experience through advanced placement into the BSN major.
