Technical Support
 Welcome to the Southeast Online Technical Support pages. As a student enrolled
in
online courses (sometimes referred to as Web-based courses) at Southeast Missouri State University, you are entitled to
obtain free technical support through this Web site. A support
technician will be available to answer your questions during the times
listed below:
Regular Fall & Spring Hours
Monday through Friday, from 8:00AM to 5:00PM
Regular Summer Hours
Monday through Friday, from 8:00AM to 4:00PM
Student tech support is done primarily via
email, though in some cases the support technician may initiate a phone call
to obtain more details about the problem. Most emails are answered
within 30 minutes when received during regular hours (see above).
To make maximum use of this Web-site, we
encourage you to take some time to
visit the various support pages available (click on the
links on the menu bar on the left side of this page):
- If you are new to online courses in
general, we encourage you to visit "The Basics: What is an Online Course"
for useful information on what to expect.
- If you are planning to enroll in an online course,
be sure to read the "Requirements" page for up-to-date information on what
hardware and software is supported and recommended.
- Another useful tool is the "Demo
Online Class" (under construction) which will give you a pretty good idea
of how to navigate and learn in a Web-course.
- The "Glossary" is a list of frequently
used terms that will be useful for you to be familiar with.
- If you currently need to obtain help, you
should visit the "Contact Us" page for guidance on how to solve the
most common problems, and for information on how to contact tech
support.
 Southeast Online Technical Support is offered by
the Center for Scholarship in Teaching and Learning (CSTL). The
mission of CSTL is to support faculty in excellence of teaching. CSTL
helps instructors to develop and deliver online courses. We are now
extending our expertise to help you, the Southeast Online student, minimize
technical problems and maximize your enjoyment and learning in quality
online courses at Southeast Missouri State.
