I tried to logon to a class Web site several times and the server stopped responding for a while. Was the server down?

The server is configured to block users who attempt to logon many times without success.  This could be an intrusion attempt (password guessing), so the firewall blocks the access to the server from the machine that originated the requests.  The server will restore your access after a few minutes.
