How do I upload a file using DropBox?
1) When your file is ready to be submitted to
your instructor, log on to the class web site and click on the "Drop Box" button
or link. If you haven't already done so, enter your username and password
in the login screen:

2) The first screen shows a list of available drop boxes. Each drop box is
like a folder where you can put files in for better organization. Find the
proper drop box where you want to and click on its link:

3) The drop box screen shows its description and the list of files you have
uploaded. If you haven't uploaded any file yet, then you'll see the
message "you have no files stored in this area" as shown below. Go ahead
and click on the "Add File" button:

4) The next screen will allow you to enter information about the file you want
to upload: its name, its title, and an optional brief description of it.
First, click on the "Browse" button to find your file.

5) After selecting the file you want to upload, click on the "Open" button to
proceed:

6) Next, enter a title and a brief description (optional) for your file.
When done, click the "Upload" button:

Wait until the entire file has been transferred
to the server. This may take a longer time if your file is large in size
or if your Internet connection is slow. Be patient until the server
receives the entire file. If your Internet connection drops or other
problems happen, you can go back to step 1 and resubmit the file as needed.
7) Once the file has been transferred and validated by the server, you will see
the message below. If you get an error message instead, go back to step 1
and try again.

8) Click on the "Back to Drop Box" button to see your file listed on the drop
box like shown below. If you don't see your file listed, try reloading the
page by clicking on the "Refresh" or "Reload" button in your browser (not in
DropBox itself).

9) Come back to the drop box area regularly to check for feedback and scores (to
be posted by your instructor). Sometimes, your instructor may provide
feedback directly in the file itself; in this case, you should download the file
to see your instructor's comments.
