My password to access a class web site doesn't work. What should I do?

If you are having problems accessing a resource, try the following:

  • Check the status of the Caps Lock key.   Many passwords are case-sensitive, and it may be that you're typing it in all-uppercase or all-lowercase letters.

  • Make sure your username is correct.  Your username should be the first part of your Southeast Key (email address). For example, if your email address is jstudent1s@semo.edu, then your username is jstudent1s.

  • Make sure your Southeast Key is active. Log on to My Southeast and click on the proper menu item to activate your account.

  • If your account is active, make sure you are using the right password. To verify if your password is working, try logging on to your email account. If your password doesn't work there either, you will need to reset your Southeast Key password.

  • If your Southeast Key is working properly, then your name may not be in the class roster yet. If you just enrolled, it may take 24 hours until your name shows in the roster and you are allowed to log in.
