This tool was designed in order to help you self-assess how many credits you will be able to transfer to Southeast. For an official review, please have your official transcripts sent to Southeast and apply online at semo.edu/apply. If you'd like a quick and unofficial self-assessment of how many credits you would need if you transferred to Southeast, this tool can help. Some things to keep in mind before continuing:

  • At Southeast you must complete 51 University Studies hours (General Education).
  • For a General Studies Degree, you need to have 39 hours of upper level courses (coded 300 - 599).
  • It takes a minimum of 120 hours to complete a Bacholors Degree from Southeast.
  • A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for this major.
  • A minimum of 30 credit hours must be earned through Southeast Missouri State University.
  • At least 12 of the final 18 hours taken toward a degree must be earned through Southeast.
